1943 Christmas Noel du Soldat Soldatenweihnacht CMF Neuchatel Dragon Pen tray

Very odd glazed ceramic tray which I think may be a commemorative piece, made by CMF Neuchatel Switzerland. I can't find anything like it but it is impressed 1943 and SOLDATENWEIHNACHT, NOEL DU SOLDAT, and NATALE DEL SOLDATO. Featuring a three dimensional fire breathing dragon pierced by a spear. The Christmas star is shown radiating on the left and oddly there are scratches from the dragon's mouth. Swiss Army memorabilia? Produced to commemorate the war ravaged Christmas of 1943?
SIZE: 7” (18cm) X 3” (7.5cm) approx.
CONDITION: one small nick on the top edge and a chip on the base edge. Scratches from the dragon's mouth which may be original ? SEE PHOTOS
