This article has nice pictures and interesting history of the rugged Checker from the initial development through the end of the line in 1982. There ae many pictures of sedans used as taxis, as well as the Marathon sedans and Superba wagons. Al the engineering changes through the years are described. This is a fascinating look at one of the last independent U.S automakers. This is truly an unique car and this article is a rare find for the Checker fan!
