Description
I have been a life long collector of Native American items. I purchased this full wing dance fan in 1994 from Gray Wolf in Scottsdale, Az. The fan itself is a full wild turkey wing and is painted with an Algonquin floral then edged with glass beads. Many of the feathers are dotted with turquoise and white dots to match the glass beads. I'm guessing the fur is either coyote or rabbit. The wood handle is covered with elk leather and has numerous long twisted fringe hanging from it.Measurements: Overall length is 58" long x 17" wide Wing is 23" long x 17" wide
Painted Area is 9" x 4 1/4" Handel is 6" long Twisted fringe is 30" long
Turkey Feathers are about 16" at the longest
Parrot feather is 5"
Indian artifacts are an investment in enjoyment to last a lifetime.
